Client Stories
What clients say after living with our work
The work doesn't end at handover. We care about how these spaces feel after a few months of actual use — which is usually when the real feedback comes.

In their own words
Suraya Ahmad
Bangsar, KL — April 2025
We started with just the consultation, and it completely reframed how we were thinking about our living room. The notes they delivered were specific and actually useful — not generic advice. We ended up coming back for the full design service three months later.

I'd had bad experiences with designers before — lots of nice ideas that looked terrible when built. Pasu Collective was different. They were honest about what was achievable and the 3D renders looked almost identical to the finished space. That's not normal, apparently.

The Kiln-to-Completion support was worth every ringgit. I simply couldn't be there to manage the contractors — I travel for work. Liyana kept me informed throughout and the space looked like the design when I finally saw it. That's all I wanted, and they delivered it.

What surprised me was how well they balanced my preferences with what actually works spatially. I had strong opinions and they didn't just say yes — they explained where things would create problems and offered alternatives that made sense. The result is better than what I originally asked for.

The consultation service is genuinely good value if you're early in the process. I wasn't ready to commit to a full design, but I wanted direction. The reference palette they delivered showed me things I wouldn't have considered — and a year later, I've used most of those ideas.
Form & Function Meeting
Fauziah Yusoff
Bangsar South, KL — January 2025
I run a small ceramics studio and needed the space to work as both a production area and somewhere clients could sit comfortably. The design solved both without feeling like a compromise in either direction. Six months in, it still works exactly the way we'd hoped.

Project Stories
How three projects came together
Bangsar Apartment · Full Service
The Challenge
A 950 sq ft apartment with a narrow living room that felt cut off from the kitchen, poor natural light in the main bedroom, and a previous renovation that had left the layout awkward and the materials mismatched.
Our Approach
We removed a non-structural wall to open the living-kitchen connection, repositioned the primary furniture axis to address light issues, and developed a celadon and warm timber palette that unified the space across zones. The bedroom received a custom joinery solution that addressed storage and privacy without reducing the feel of space.
The Outcome
Project completed in 9 weeks from brief to specification delivery. Construction took a further 14 weeks. The client reported the space felt significantly larger and calmer than before, and noted the material palette had aged better than expected in the six months since completion.
"We didn't expect such a functional improvement — it just feels like a proper apartment now." — Suraya Ahmad, Bangsar
Mont Kiara Home Office · Design Only
The Challenge
A spare bedroom being converted to a home office and occasional guest room. The client needed it to function seriously as a workspace while not feeling clinical or disconnected from the rest of the apartment's warm, mid-century influenced tone.
Our Approach
We designed a bespoke desk-and-shelving unit that runs across the window wall, capitalising on natural light for the primary work position. A fold-flat day bed sits in the opposing corner. The material palette uses blackened timber and natural rattan — functional but warm.
The Outcome
Delivered in 7 weeks. Client managed construction independently using our specification documents. Reported that the joinery contractor found the drawings exceptionally clear, which kept costs predictable. The room now reads as a comfortable working space rather than a compromised guest room.
"The renders matched the finished room closely enough that I showed them side by side to my contractor." — Khairul Lim, Mont Kiara
Bangsar South Studio · Full Service
The Challenge
A ceramics studio needing to function as an active production workspace and a welcoming client-facing environment simultaneously. Standard commercial fit-out approaches would have given priority to one function at the expense of the other.
Our Approach
We zoned the space with a low shelving structure rather than walls — allowing visual connection while separating activities. Work surfaces are locally sourced terrazzo, durable and distinctive. A consultation corner with natural rattan seating sits against the window wall and reads clearly as client territory.
The Outcome
Full service including design and completion support over 18 weeks. The studio has become a minor design destination in its own right — clients frequently comment on the space before commenting on the ceramics. The owner reports that it functions as well for production as it did in the previous, less considered layout.
"Six months in, it still works exactly the way we'd hoped. Which sounds obvious, but it really isn't." — Fauziah Yusoff, Bangsar South
